L’Agència Catalana de l’Aigua s’encarrega de portar a terme actuacions de manteniment i conservació a les lleres dels cursos fluvials amb l’objectiu de recuperar la funcionalitat hidràulica quan aquesta ha estat pertorbada per motius naturals. Aquestes actuacions s’orienten a afavorir la circulació de l’aigua i evitar o reduir les inundacions quan s’esdevenen episodis de crescudes ordinàries. Aquestes actuacions se centren, fonamentalment, en la retirada de vegetació que pugui obstaculitzar el pas de l'aigua, l’erradicació de vegetació invasora o d’espècies al·lòctones de mal comportament hidràulic, la retirada d'arbres morts o de brancatge excessiu, així com redistribuir acumulacions de sediments que poden reduir la capacitat de desguàs del llit. La cobertura conté la localització i informació associada a les actuacions de manteniment i conservació de lleres, tant a l’àmbit de les conques internes de Catalunya com a les conques compartides amb altres confederacions hidrogràfiques. Els trams de les actuacions foren representats mitjançant l'extracció de la cobertura xarxa rius a escala 1:50.000.
