Aquest vol va ser realitzat per CETFA. durant l’abril del 1970 per encàrrec de la Comisión de Urbanismo y Servicios Comunes de Barcelona y otros municipios, tot i que els negatius els va produir l’empresa ESTOSA, i abasta tota la regió metropolitana de Barcelona, excepte un petit forat al Municipi de Montcada i Reixac, on falta algun fotograma.

Aquesta ortofoto està elaborada a partir dels fotogrames en blanc i negre del vol fotogramètric del 1956-57 que va realitzar l'Army Map Service dels Estats Units, fruit dels acords de col·laboració militar entre aquest país i Espanya i abasta tota la regió metropolitana de Barcelona, amb una petita àrea en blanc a una zona rústica de La Llagosta.
