The boreholes database is an inventory of subsurface data in Catalonia through the collection of available geological and geotechnical survey information. The surveys are classified into three groups: surveys, penetrometers and trial pits.
-
Measurements that determine the 3D spatial orientation of planar and linear geological structural elements.
-
3D model of geological surfaces that contains the main stratigraphic surfaces and geological structures of Catalonia, the location of the main exploration drillings and the topographic and bathymetric surface of the model area.
-
Geomechanical study that defines and applies geomechanical stations along the Catalan coast to describe lithologies, discontinuities and strength parameters (q_u), GSI and Hoek–Brown mi, with RMR classification, photo record and sampling; includes GIS inventory and 202 station sheets.
-
Report describing the update of the permanent flooding model and viewer based on IPCC AR6 sea level projections, including new layers, methodology and results.
-
Report presenting the 3D geological model of the Holocene prism of the Ebro Delta, developed within the LIFE Ebro-Admiclim project, detailing methodology, reconstructed geological units and uses (subsidence, hydrogeology, geotechnics).
-
Report describing the background and methodology for analysing erosion and sediment production in Catalan basins, including previous studies and the Iber model.
-
Geophysical logging report of the Roquetes borehole to characterise subsurface materials, water column and physical parameters using temperature, conductivity and electromagnetic induction probes.
-
Report analysing the effects of the early September 2023 DANA in Catalonia (heavy rainfall focused on Terres de l’Ebre and significant swell), based on press, social media, municipal inputs and satellite imagery, including an impacts inventory.
-
3D model of Port del Comte aquifers, developed as part of the assessment of underground water resources available in Catalonia. More specifically, this model contains the lithological-hydrogeological units, the main geological structures, the topographic surface of the project area, the location of the main karst springs and the saturated rock volumes of the water reservoirs associated with each of the springs
