Borehole database of Catalonia
The boreholes database is an inventory of subsurface data in Catalonia through the collection of available geological and geotechnical survey information. The surveys are classified into three groups: surveys, penetrometers and trial pits.

- The data of this dataset do not aim to achieve compliance with INSPIRE regulations. For this reason, its conformity is not evaluated and it is declared not conformant compliant by default.

- Evaluation method description
- The compliance of the metadata is evaluated using the "INSPIRE Reference Validator" web tool. The metadata is considered correct when the only errors reported are related with the main language of the metadata file. These errors are due to the fact that Catalan is not included in the list of official languages of the European Union.

- Statement
- The first stage of formation of this dataset is the collection and search of information contained in geotechnical reports, as well as their evaluation, review and coding. The second phase involves the georeferencing of the prospecting points contained in the collected reports, and their linking with the pdf records of the lithological columns of penetration. The third phase is the entry of geological and geotechnical data from these georeferenced points into the Borehole Database of Catalonia (BDSOC). The fourth and final phase involves the review and validation of the information, both in terms of the collection of information, georeferencing and the entry of information into the database.

- The sources of information are internal reports of the ICGC, geotechnical studies collected from city councils, geotechnical studies according to the BIMSA agreement and geotechnical studies according to the Incasòl agreement.
