The extension of this zone is conditioned by the necessary response time and the intensity of the effects of foreseeable accidents. The distances of the ZIF for the scenarios of long-range toxic cloud, short-range toxic cloud, serious explosion, flammable cloud and puddle fire are established in "The Technical Instruction of the DGPC regarding the preparation of reports on the conditions minimum requirements that new urban developments must comply with to be located within the identified chemical risk zones due to the transport of dangerous goods by road and rail" (ITMMPP).
