Study that collects, from a more general perspective, all the information on the problem of sand loss and the disappearance of beaches in the Maresme region. From a more specific level, the study focuses on the port of Masnou and the coastal dynamics correction measures that can be applied there.

The metropolitan multi-beam bathymetry is a representation of the submerged part of the surface of the coastal strip. The seabed is represented with a very dense 3D point cloud with X, Y and Z coordinates. It is measured with a multi-beam echosounder, and provides very detailed data that can represent submerged elements of relatively small dimensions (even less than a meter).

The study analyzes the evolution of the beaches of Sant Adrià de Besòs, Badalona and Montgat during the last decades to be able to characterize the problems encountered there, identify the most critical points and define initial proposals to solve the problem of regression they suffer.
-
The publication includes two documents related to the socioeconomic benefits of metropolitan beaches: on the one hand, an evaluation of the economic value of the beaches in the metropolitan area of Barcelona, and on the other, a report on the socioeconomic impact of metropolitan beaches.

The study analyses the evolution of the coastline and the hydrodynamic behaviour of the beach in the municipality of Gavà and the possibility of implementing a stabilization solution with a geotube similar to that used in Sète (France). It also collects environmental information and the characterization of the habitats, marine communities and sediments in this environment. Finally, it proposes a roadmap to improve and expand knowledge of the problems detected and propose appropriate solutions.

Based on the "Preliminary Studies for the stabilization of the beaches of Sant Adrià de Besòs, Badalona and Montgat", of March 2021, this document proposes a series of stabilization measures for the beaches of Badalona and Montgat.

The metropolitan topobathymetric elevation model is a representation of the surface of the coastal strip, both the emerged part (dry beach) and the submerged part, up to an approximate depth of between 15 and 20 meters. The depth is represented with a regular grid of 1 meter pixel size. The emerged part is measured with topography methods, the first meters of the submerged part are measured with a single-beam echosounder and the rest is measured with a multi-beam echosounder, which provides very detailed data of the seabed.
-
Metropolitan topobathymetric cartography is a representation of the surface of the coastal strip, both the surface (dry beach) and the submerged part, to an approximate depth of between 15 and 20 meters. The depth is represented in the surface part with contour lines and in the submerged part with isobaths, both with an equidistance of 0.5 meters. No planimetric element is represented, only the relief of the seabed.

This technical report is an update and expansion of the preliminary studies for the stabilization of the beaches of Gavà and Viladecans, of December 2019. This new document analyzes the entire coastal section that extends from the mouth of the Llobregat river to Ginesta port and the evolution of the shoreline from 1990 to 2020, critical areas and related problems are identified with coastal stability, and action strategies are proposed that can solve the problem that has been identified.

Topographic cartography covering part of Catalonia (urban areas, traces of roads, rivers, shorelines, etc.), compiled in 3 dimensions. Scale of reference: 1:1 000.
