Aquesta ortofoto està elaborada a partir dels fotogrames en blanc i negre del vol fotogramètric que la Corporació Metropolitana de Barcelona va encarregar l’any 1981, i abasta l’àrea metropolitana de Barcelona excepte part dels municipis situats a l'oest: bona part dels municipis de Begues, Cervelló, Corbera de Llobregat, Sant Andreu de la Barca, Castellbisbal, i part dels municipis de Barberà del Vallès, la Palma de Cervelló i Torrelles de Llobregat.

Aquesta ortofoto està elaborada a partir dels fotogrames en color del vol fotogramètric que l'any 1992 va fer l'Institut Cartogràfic de Catalunya (ICC) per encàrrec de la Mancomunitat de Municipis de l’Àrea Metropolitana de Barcelona (MMAMB), i abasta l’àrea metropolitana de Barcelona excepte part dels municipis de Cervelló, Corbera de Llobregat i La Palma de Cervelló.
