The Radiosonde Station information set provides information on the identification and location of the radiosonde station owned by the Meteorological Service of Catalonia. It is a vector geographic information set of 2D at a scale of 1:5.000. The data recorded at the Radiosonde Station allow a vertical characterization of the atmosphere by means of instruments transported by a balloon that is launched automatically twice a day, at 11:00 and 23:00 hours UTC. The station is located on the roof of the Faculty of Physics of the University of Barcelona and belongs to the World Meteorological Network through the GTS (Global Telecommunication System).

The XDDE provides information on the identification, location and status of the set of geographic information Network for the Detection of atmospheric Electric Discharges v1.0, owned by the Meteorological Service of Catalonia. The system allows the real-time detection of storms, as well as the very short-term forecast of their trajectory. The XDDE consists of four remote stations and a central processing system located at the SMC headquarters. The stations are located in Begues (el Baix Llobregat), Castellnou de Seana (el Pla d’Urgell), Muntanyola (Osona) and Amposta (el Montsià). The arrangement of the detectors is designed to provide good coverage throughout Catalonia, with an error in the location of lightning less than a kilometer for much of Catalonia. It is a 2D vectorial set of geographic information at 1:5.000 scale.

Geographical base at 1:5,000 scale which shows, for each of the municipal boundary lines, the status of the process of elaboration, approval and completion of each line of the municipal boundary for the execution of the Municipal Map of Catalonia (Decree 244/2007, of 6 November). The Municipal Map (MM) is the set of lines that make up the municipal boundary, regardless of the number of sections. The current municipal boundaries come from the replan made from the delimitation document of the early twentieth century, when they were first set. The project of the MM that are carrying out the Directorate General of Local Administration (DGAL) and the Cartographic and Geologic Institute of Catalonia (ICGC), facilitates to the city councils the procedure to modify the line of boundary and adapt it, if necessary, to the current reality of the territory, generating a new municipal line that once approved by the Plenary Sessions of the city councils and published in the DOGC remains as a line of current delimitation. The municipal delimitation is dynamic due to its link with the territorial changes, but today it is more so because it is subject to the evolution of the elaboration of the MM. The base is updated periodically based on the sessions of the Territorial Delimitation Commission, which take place three times a year.

Delimitation of the enclosures, within the cadastral parcels, that have a certain use according to the SIGPAC (Geographical Information System of Agricultural Parcels of Catalonia), with its individualized reference, geometric attributes (surface, etc.) and other information related to its agricultural use. This dataset also includes various groupings of these enclosures, such as parcels, which are likely to benefit from community aid related to the surface as they are part of the SIGPAC. Although there is an equivalence between the cadastral parcel and the SIGPAC parcel, apart from occasional divergences resulting from the parallel evolution of both databases, the same does not happen at the level of cadastral sub-parcel and the SIGPAC enclosure: unlike the sub-parcel, the enclosure is defined by a continuous portion of land that, within a parcel, has the same use or utilization.

Limits of the areas of natural interest defined in Decree 328/1992, which approves the Plan of areas of natural interest (PEIN), and any subsequent modifications that may have occurred. This base includes spaces at a scale of 1:50 000 and, in some cases, 1:5 000. The PEIN establishes a network of spaces representative of the rich landscape and biodiversity of the territory of Catalonia, from high mountains to coastal plains, and from Euro-Siberian forests to semi-desert wastelands or marine spaces. The PEIN is the higher level planning instrument that structures the system of protected areas of Catalonia and integrates this system within the whole territory, as it is a sectorial territorial plan framed within the Territorial Plan of Catalonia (1995). Subsequent to its approval, specific modifications to the rules and limits have been approved by decree, as well as extensions or additions of new spaces.

Provides information on the identification, location and status of the network of radars (XRAD) owned by the Meteorological Service of Catalonia, which has four radars integrated into the XRAD. The XRAD is designed for the identification of meteorological echoes in the atmosphere and to provide quantitative estimates of rainfall of great meteorological and hydrological interest. The network is made up of four Doppler type radars that operate in band C: the radar of Vallirana, the radar of Puig d’Arques, the radar of Panadella and the radar of Tivissa-Llaberia. It is a 2D vectorial set of geographic information at 1:5.000 scale.

SIGPAC is the graphic database of all arable land for the digital identification system for agricultural parcels, referred to in Article 17 of EC Regulation 73/2009 of 19 January.

Boundaries of the natural spaces of Catalonia that form part of the European Natura 2000 network. Natura 2000 is a European ecological network of areas that may have been proposed as special protection areas for birds (ZEPA) in accordance with the Directive 2009/147/CEE, also known as the Birds Directive, and/or as Special Areas of Conservation (ZEC) in accordance with Directive 92/43/CEE, also known as the Habitats Directive. In the first instance, the Government of Catalonia approves the proposal for sites of Community importance (LIC) for the Natura 2000 network of the areas of the Alpine and Mediterranean biogeographical regions. Subsequently, the European Commission adopts the conformity of this proposal and finally the Government of Catalonia declares the LICs as ZECs.

The Land Cover Map of Catalonia is an information set of high-resolution thematic cartography on the main types of land cover in the country, such as urban areas, agriculture, forestry or water bodies.

The synthetic Urban Map of Catalonia is a synthesis map of the general planning, in two dimensions (2D), which allows a continuous reading of the country’s urban planning, above the municipal boundaries. It is a synthetic graphic recast of all those files that correspond to current general planning, which incorporates the resources and associated estimating judgments as well as the corrections of error, approved by the urban planning organizations of the Generalitat and published in the DOGC. The synthetic MUC includes only the current general planning and, therefore, does not recast either the derived planning or the urban director, which can be consulted in the RPUC, or the urban determinations of the partial territorial planning. The synthetic MUC has no legal validity, as the technical means currently used do not guarantee it. It is, therefore, an informative value map, drawn up on the basis of the interpretation of the official general planning documents available in the archives of the Ministry of Territory.
