Purpose
The Barcelona Blue Routes project is a transformative project for the recovery of the Llobregat River and its tributaries Anoia and Cardener, to make them passable, enhancing the value of nature and the heritage of the area. It is framed within the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): 3 "Health and well-being", 8 "Decent work and economic growth" and 9 "Industry, innovation and infrastructure". The Barcelona Blue Routes project aims not only to recover and enhance the value of the heritage found in the courses of the three rivers, but also seeks to promote their conservation, promote seasonal diversification, seek complementarities with sun and beach destinations and promote rural areas. More specifically, the specific objectives are as follows: 1. To ensure the proper urban and environmental implementation of the urban master plan of the Barcelona Blue Routes. 2. To promote the improvement in the conservation of the cultural and natural heritage of the 121 municipalities of the province of Barcelona located within the territorial scope of the routes and adjoining areas. 3. Improve universal access to safe, green, inclusive and sustainable public spaces, recovering and rehabilitating 40% of the projected route. Applicable regulations: Urban master plan Barcelona Blue Routes, finally approved by the Territorial Commission of Catalonia on 24/07/2020, and its urban planning regulations.
