- The data of this dataset do not aim to achieve compliance with INSPIRE regulations. For this reason, its conformity is not evaluated and it is declared not conformant compliant by default.

- Evaluation method description
- The compliance of the metadata is evaluated using the "INSPIRE Reference Validator" web tool. The metadata is considered correct when the only errors reported are related with the main language of the metadata file. These errors are due to the fact that Catalan is not included in the list of official languages of the European Union.

- The dataset is the result of a process of interpretation, selection and generalization of cartographic bases and information from the Cartographic and Geologic Institute of Catalonia, and of the application of a graphic expression language specially designed for the 1:250,000 scale. The production process starts from the previous version of the map and applies the changes to the territory that have an impact on the 1:250,000 scale. Specifically, the following are analyzed: updates to the geographical names base; changes to the transport network; changes to buildings and facilities; changes in hydrography; update of administrative boundaries; and update of contour lines and bathymetry. The updated information is incorporated into the new cartography either directly (as in the case of geographical names), from processes of generalization of the ICGC's cartographic bases or through its digitization on the territorial orthophoto.
