- The compliance of the metadata is evaluated using the "INSPIRE Reference Validator" web tool. The metadata is considered correct when the only errors reported are related with the main language of the metadata file. These errors are due to the fact that Catalan is not included in the list of official languages of the European Union.

- The demarcation of the plots of land with slope greater than 20% is obtained in an automated way from a regular grid of slopes, which has been calculated from the Terrain Elevation Model of Catalonia 5 x 5 meters derived from altimetry data contained in the Topographic database of Catalonia 1:5 000.
- Description
- Generation of a regular grid of slopes of 5m cell side from the Terrain Elevation Model of Catalonia 5 x 5 meters. It is used the average maximum technique to calculate the slope of each grid cell, which performs the calculation from the altitudes of the 8 neighbouring cells.

- Demarcation of the polygons of land plots of slope greater than 20%. Starting from the grid obtained in the previous step, it is generated a new regular grid with only two values (less than or equal to 20% - 0 - and more than 20% - 1 -). Afterwards the grid is vectorised and the polygons are created.
- Description
- Generalization of the polygons of land of slope greater than 20%. Applying cartographic generalization techniques to the polygon obtained in the previous step to eliminate both the small vibrations of the boundary line and the small polygons and small holes, obtained as a result of the conversion from grid to polygon because of the nature of the grid data. The generalization consists of: simplification of the boundary lines using the Douglas-Peuker algorithm with a tolerance of 6m; elimination of land areas with slope greater than 20%, in the parts that do not exceed 10m of width, and isolated polygons up to 1000m2; elimination of land areas with slope smaller than or equal to 20%, in the outside adjacent part or inside of the land polygons of slope greater than 20%, in the parts that do not exceed 10m of width, and the interior ones up to 1.000 m2.
