Evaluation method description: The data of this dataset do not aim to achieve compliance with INSPIRE regulations. For this reason, its conformity is not evaluated and it is declared not conformant compliant by default.

Evaluation method description: The compliance of the metadata is evaluated using the "INSPIRE Reference Validator" web tool. The metadata is considered correct when the only errors reported are related with the main language of the metadata file. These errors are due to the fact that Catalan is not included in the list of official languages of the European Union.

Statement: 1.The abundance index maps of the Atlas of nesting birds of Catalonia 1999-2002 are used as a starting point. These are high resolution maps (UTM 1x1Km grid squares) showing the modeled values over 100% of the territory from a sampling of 10% of the territory.2 For each grid the richness is shown, i.e. the number of bird species present in nesting season (breeders or non-breeding summer birds in the area) .3.S'inclou a field for each environment of interest (10) for the conservation of biodiversity, with the sum of probabilities of occurrence of each of the species selected as bioindicators of each environment that are present in each grid. The probability of occurrence is the unit of the atlas abundance index maps; it represents an indirect measure of species abundance and is defined as the probability of detecting a given species in two census hours in that specific square.
