Evaluation method description: The data of this dataset do not aim to achieve compliance with INSPIRE regulations. For this reason, its conformity is not evaluated and it is declared not conformant compliant by default.

Evaluation method description: The compliance of the metadata is evaluated using the "INSPIRE Reference Validator" web tool. The metadata is considered correct when the only errors reported are related with the main language of the metadata file. These errors are due to the fact that Catalan is not included in the list of official languages of the European Union.

Statement: 1. From the reclassification of the Cartography of the Habitats of Catalonia into 25 categories, a map of landscape typologies for a neighborhood distance of 400 m was generated by pixel by pixel classification with the ISODATA pattern recognition technique. 2. The result of this has been vectorized, applying contour smoothing algorithms and eliminating polygons smaller than 100 ha. It was therefore arbitrarily decided that areas of at least these dimensions would be considered as landscape mosaics.3 In addition, an edition was made to manually adjust the limits of their categories and to eliminate as much as possible small polygons with particular combinations.
