Surface model of the coastline 1 m - January-June 2014
Regular grid model of the emerged coastal strip, with a 1 meter resolution, which expresses the orthometric altitudes of the surface of the territory, including the natural and artificial elements found on the ground (trees, buildings, etc.).

- Purpose
- The main objectives of this geoinformation are: To carefully monitor the evolution of the coastline and its changing conditions; To enable the evaluation of the changes that occur in the coastal environment over time or due to the effects of storms, and thus be able to determine the preservation policies of this environment in constant evolution due to human action and the effects of climate change; To facilitate the calculation of the risk of flooding and other risks where knowledge of the relief is essential; To provide a reference base for the development of any activity that has a territorial impact and that must take the relief into account. They are especially relevant in the field of technical activities, management, planning or administration of the territory; To carry out spatial analysis operations with other sets of geographic information, especially in 3D.

Domain consistency
- Name of measure
- Compliance with INSPIRE requirements (metadata)
- Evaluation method description
- The compliance of the metadata is evaluated using the "INSPIRE Reference Validator" web tool. The metadata is considered correct when the only errors reported are related with the main language of the metadata file. These errors are due to the fact that Catalan is not included in the list of official languages of the European Union.

- Statement
- Lidar is an airborne laser altimeter sensor that allows the generation of dense and highly accurate terrain models. The system provides a continuous point cloud over the territory, which is adjusted with control areas, and each of the points is subsequently classified according to the type of element of the territory it represents (terrain, vegetation, buildings, water, etc.). This classification, as well as the degree of manual correction that can be performed, may vary depending on the publication. With this, a model of surface triangles is generated (through triangulation processes) from which the regular grid model is obtained by interpolation. The fulfilment of the parameters of quality established for this database in the technical specifications is verified: positional accuracy, logical consistency.
- Description
- Altimetric information, corresponding to the terrain, from the LiDAR sensor.
