Viewer of the Civil Protection Map of Catalonia
Viewer that allows municipalities and citizens to find out from the Interior website: 1- The territorial distribution of the different risks; 2- The civil protection plans that each municipality has the obligation or recommendation to prepare; 3- Which municipalities have drawn up the corresponding municipal civil protection plans and which ones are pending; 4- Municipalities that have civil protection volunteer associations. The map allows forecasting and risk prevention.

- The compliance of the metadata is evaluated using the "INSPIRE Reference Validator" web tool. The metadata is considered correct when the only errors reported are related with the main language of the metadata file. These errors are due to the fact that Catalan is not included in the list of official languages of the European Union.

- Coverage prepared from the layer of municipalities of the Cartographic and Geologic Institute of Catalonia and taking into account: 1) The static map of basic forest fire danger prepared by the General Directorate of the Natural Environment (Department of the Environment and Housing), which integrates the concepts of the risk of ignition and the risk of forest fire spreading, understanding the first as the ease with which a forest fire starts and the second as the ease with which the forest fire can progress. 2) The analysis of the vulnerability that determines the damage that the vulnerable elements can suffer depending on the characteristics of the possible forest fires and the exposure to their danger and effects. In the identification of vulnerable elements, all those that are included in forest land or at a distance of less than 500 meters have been considered.
