Viewer of the Civil Protection Map of Catalonia
Viewer that allows municipalities and citizens to find out from the Interior website: 1- The territorial distribution of the different risks; 2- The civil protection plans that each municipality has the obligation or recommendation to prepare; 3- Which municipalities have drawn up the corresponding municipal civil protection plans and which ones are pending; 4- Municipalities that have civil protection volunteer associations. The map allows forecasting and risk prevention.

- The compliance of the metadata is evaluated using the "INSPIRE Reference Validator" web tool. The metadata is considered correct when the only errors reported are related with the main language of the metadata file. These errors are due to the fact that Catalan is not included in the list of official languages of the European Union.

- Coverage prepared from the municipalities layer of the Cartographic and Geologic Institute of Catalonia and taking into account the mandatory map of the PROCICAT Action Plan for emergencies due to episodes of pollution downstream of the Flix reservoir. This map also takes into account the consequences that vulnerable elements may suffer depending on the following characteristics: A- By potentially vulnerable population: 1) municipalities that are supplied by the Tarragona Water Consortium, 2) municipalities that have a surface catchment to the river, 3) municipalities that have an aquifer catchment connected to the river or 4) municipalities that have an aquifer catchment with an uncertain relationship to the river. B- For vulnerability of crops: 1) municipalities with crops irrigated with water from the right channel of the Ebre or its diversions, 2) municipalities with crops irrigated with water from the left channel of the Ebre or from its diversions or 3) municipalities with crops irrigated with water from phases I, II or III of the Garrigues Sud canal or its diversions. C- For environmental vulnerability: 1) municipalities with spaces included in the Plan of Areas of Natural Interest (PEIN), 2) municipalities with spaces included as Wildlife Natural Reserves (RNFS), 3) municipalities with spaces included in the Natural Park of Ebre Delta (PNDE) or 4) municipalities with other natural areas. D- By affecting the coastal municipalities.
