- Purpose
- The main objectives of this geoinformation are: 1- To obtain models of terrain elevations and surfaces, as well as realistic 3D visualizations of the territory. 2- Facilitating the calculation of flood risk and other risks where knowledge of the relief is essential. 3- To generate objective forestry metrics, to facilitate knowledge of the spatial distribution of tree cover. 4- To provide a reference base for the development of any activity that has a territorial impact and that must take into account the terrain. They are particularly relevant in the field of technical, management, planning or territory administration activities. 5- To carry out spatial analysis operations with other sets of geographic information, especially in 3D.

- Supplemental Information
- The spatial resolution of 0.33 meters refers to the cloud of points, which has a minimum density of 8 points/m2 which means, generically, the presence of one point every 33 centimeters. The spatial resolution of 0.15 meters refers to the orthophotos, which have a pixel size of 15 cm side on the ground.

Domain consistency
- Name of measure
- Compliance with INSPIRE requirements (data)
- Evaluation method description
- The data of this dataset do not aim to achieve compliance with INSPIRE regulations. For this reason, its conformity is not evaluated and it is declared not conformant compliant by default.

Domain consistency
- Name of measure
- Compliance with INSPIRE requirements (metadata)
- Evaluation method description
- The compliance of the metadata is evaluated using the "INSPIRE Reference Validator" web tool. The metadata is considered correct when the only errors reported are related with the main language of the metadata file. These errors are due to the fact that Catalan is not included in the list of official languages of the European Union.

- Statement
- CLOUD OF POINTS: The cloud of points is captured with a lidar sensor, calibrated and adjusted with topographic control areas, in order to obtain an altimetric accuracy with a mean square error of about 6 cm in flat areas with little vegetation. Each lidar point is associated with the capture date and time (absolute GPS time). The data is distributed by blocks of 1x1 km, although within the same block there may be points with different flight dates. Each block is calibrated and adjusted with control areas. Next, a first automatic classification of the adjusted points is made in order to distinguish noise points and high and low escaped points that do not represent terrain elements. Subsequently, the initial automatic process is quality checked in which the classification of the terrain points is evaluated, and any detected errors are corrected manually. ORTHOPHOTOS: Orthophotos are generated from the geometric rectification of the images obtained by a photogrammetric aerial camera. The terrain elevation model necessary for the rectification of the images comes from the altimetric information of the Territorial Topographic Reference (RTT) in force at the time of generation of the orthophotos. Digital make-up tasks may have been carried out on this cartographic document, in order to minimize the presence of foreign bodies.
