Cartography of habitats of community interest in Catalonia 1: 50,000, version 2
Update of the second version of the cartography of habitats of community interest (CHIC) in Catalonia. The legend is the list of habitats in Annex I of the European Union Directive 97/62/EC. The geometry is of polygons, each of which contains from one to ten habitats of the legend. The presence of each habitat in the polygon is expressed by the cover, in percentage over 10.

- The data of this dataset do not aim to achieve compliance with INSPIRE regulations. For this reason, its conformity is not evaluated and it is declared not conformant compliant by default.

- Evaluation method description
- The compliance of the metadata is evaluated using the "INSPIRE Validador" Web tool. The metadata is considered correct when the only errors reported are related with the main language of the metadata file. These errors are due to the fact that Catalan is not included in the list of official languages of the European Union.

- The polygons of the habitats of community interest have been generated from the mapping of the habitats in Catalonia at 1:50,000 scale, version 2 (2012), and from the table of correspondences between the two legends. In cases where there is no direct relationship between them, specific fieldwork has been required in order to accurately identify the habitat of Community interest present in the polygon. In this update, it have been incorporated into the map the modifications of the geometry made in the sectors where it have been worked on the survey of the vegetation map of Catalonia at 1:50,000 scale, and the changes in the interpretation of the HICs that derive from the revision of the Report of correspondences between the habitats of Catalonia and the habitats of interest have also been taken into account.
