Statement: External Geodynamics and Hydrogeology Unit - Department of Geology of the UAB: Creation of a table where the Epigraphs are reclassified according to basic lithological units differentiated on the basis of the following criteria: the typology of the formation (if it is a rock, a sediment, a mineralization or anthropic materials); the formation process (plutonic magmatic, volcanic magmatic, metamorphic or sedimentary); the behavior against erosion (coherent rock, poorly coherent rock, very poorly coherent rock (ripables), incoherent sediments, soluble rocks); details of the types of materials (coarse-grained, fine-grained) or most common materials; finally, only in some categories, the geological period to which they correspond is put in brackets, on the one hand, according to their formation process, and on the other hand, according to the cohesion or coherence they present or some other characteristic that makes them unique. In total, 16 categories have been differentiated. The assignment of the 16 established categories has been made on the basis of previously established geological criteria, so that each predominant lithology has been assigned one of the new categories. OTPAT: Union in a geodatabase of all the sheets of the cut 1: 50.000 of interest of the geological map (downloadable from the web of the Departament de Medi Ambient i Habitatge de la Generalitat de Catalunya (DMAH)) and dissolution of the polygons by the EPIGRAPH field. Linking (join) of the table of attributes of the geodatabase with the table of reclassification of the epigraphs in basic lithological units. For those epigraphs not considered in the reclassification table, a new category has been created, the nº 17 of "unassigned". It should also be noted that there is an error from the original geological map since 7 polygons do not have an assigned epigraph. Linking (join) of the attribute table of the geodatabase with the lithological characterization table and the geological time table, both linked to the geological map distributed by the DMAH.
