- The dataset was prepared according to the specifications of Base de dades municipal d'adreces de Catalunya (BDMAC) v1.1 and its implementation in Shapefile format, that can be downloaded from the website of the Comissió de Coordinació Cartogràfica de Catalunya (http://www.cccartografica.cat).
- Purpose
- In general, to geolocate by address persons, activities, things or events happening in places where people may live or where activities can be developed and to identify and standardize these addresses. More specifically, to facilitate the location of isolated properties by citizen care services; to provide address information of the municipality to the public administration information systems (city council, Diputació, Generalitat).
- Credit
- The dataset is created and maintained in collaboration by the Ajuntament d'Estaràs, the Diputació de Lleida and the Institut Cartogràfic i Geològic de Catalunya.

- The dataset is the result of the coordinated work of the Ajuntament d'Estaràs, the Diputació de Lleida and the ICGC. The Diputació de Lleida was responsible, together with the city council, of collecting information for the street and house numbering review and updating on the Mapa urbà de Catalunya. With this information, the ICGC has updated the existing data in its database and has performed the necessary checks to ensure its quality. Thereafter, the updated information has been transferred to the Diputació de Lleida database, which provides services to municipalities through the Sistema d'Informació Territorial Municipal (SITMUN). Finally, the Ajuntament d'Estaràs has reviewed the data and has given its approval.
