Statement: The Basic Primary Social Care Teams (EBASP) determine the classification and location of the different social areas of the municipality. Primary Care Social Services are managed by local authorities. Municipalities with more than 20,000 inhabitants have the obligation to manage them directly, as is the case of Granollers. Social services are provided by multidisciplinary teams called Basic Primary Social Care Teams (EBASP) formed, at least, by a social worker/diploma in social work and a social educator. These teams are responsible for multipurpose social care (individual and family social care, legal care, detection and prevention of school absenteeism, care for children and adolescents at risk, etc.) as well as care social home and fight against social exclusion.
