This point layer shows the location of these protected trees and groves ni Catalunya. Protection laws taken into account here are the Order of Declaration of 1987 (Decree 214/1987) and also the DMAH Order/228/2005, DOGC 4393 of 2nd May 2005).

Purpose
Propósito
The correct location of Protected Tres in Catalonia is necessary for the territorial planning and management, according to the Decree 214/1987 of declaration of Protected Trees (as they are considered cultural heritage) and also the Decree 47/1988 about the declaration of regional and local interest.
La correcta ubicación de los árboles monumentales es necesaria para la planificación y la gestión territorial, según el Decreto 214/1987 de declaración de árboles monumentales y el Decreto 47/19888 sobre la declaración de árboles de interés comarcal y local.

Declaración
Location of Protected Trees in Catalonia, represented according to three references: GPS, orthophotomap 1:5 000 ICC, and the 1:5 000 and 1:50 000 topographic maps provided by ICC (Catalan Institut of Cartography). Decrees 214/1987, dpf 9th June and 120/1989, of 17th April, about the declaration of monumental trees , establish the protection mechanism which has been set by ordinances: 1. Ordinance 20 October 1987 (DOGC 910, 04-11-1987) 2. Ord. 30 Agost 1988 (DOGC 1042, 12-09-1988) 3. Ord. 8 February 1990 (DOGC 1262, 02-03-1990) 4. Ord. 19 April 1991 (DOGC 1440, 08-05-1991) 5. Ord. 3 December 1992 (DOGC 1687, 28-12-1992) 6. Ord. 18 January 1995 (DOGC 2005, 30-01-1995) 7. Ord. 3 September 1997 (DOGC 2480, 22-09-1997) 8. Ord. 6 July 2000 (DOGC 3189, 24-07-2000) 9. Ord. MAH 228/2005, 2 May (DOGC 4393, 27-05-2005).
Localización de los puntos donde se ubican los Árboles Monumentales de Cataluña a partir de 3 métodos: GPS, ortofotomapa 1:5 000 del ICC y los topográficos 1:5 000 y 1:50 000 del ICC. Los Decretos 214/1987, de 9 de junio y 120/1989, de 17 de abril, sobre declaración de árboles yi arboledas monumentales, establecen el mecanismo de protección de los árboles y arboledas que han sido declarados según 9 órdenes: 1. Ordre 20 octubre 1987 (DOGC 910, 04-11-1987) 2. Ordre 30 agost 1988 (DOGC 1042, 12-09-1988) 3. Ordre 8 febrer 1990 (DOGC 1262, 02-03-1990) 4. Ordre 19 abril 1991 (DOGC 1440, 08-05-1991) 5.
