Continuous topographic cartography (urban and rural areas) that covers part of the territory of the metropolitan area of Barcelona, compiled in 3 dimensions. It includes information related to the following layers: relief; hydrography; roads and other transport networks; buildings, constructions and facilities; land cover; toponymy and municipal inventories. The scale of reference is 1:1000.

- The compliance of the metadata is evaluated using the "INSPIRE Reference Validator" web tool. The metadata is considered correct when the only errors reported are related with the main language of the metadata file. These errors are due to the fact that Catalan is not included in the list of official languages of the European Union.

- The data is obtained or updated by stereo plotting and field revision. In the case of street names and postal numbers, data may have been obtained from Street guide of the AMB. It is verified the accomplishment of the quality parameters stated for this cartography in the technical specifications: positional accuracy, semantic correctness, logic consistency and completeness.

- Stereo plotting. The goal of the process is to compile the elements of the data dictionary which it is possible to obtain through this technique.

- Field revision and editing. The goal is to revise and to complete the elements of the data dictionary which it is not possible to obtain in complete way in the stereo plotting phase. It is the case, for example, of the compilation of terraces, balconies, roofs and eaves as a line of façade because these elements conceal it; the omissions of the non perceivable elements in the photography and of the hidden details from shadows, projections of buildings, trees or artificial or natural obstacles; and also errors of interpretation. Likewise, the toponymic information is obtained mainly on the terrain.
