Purpose

The main objectives of the study are the following: Based on the available data, establish a methodology to evaluate cultural recreational services and their economic benefits in the metropolitan area; Characterize metropolitan beaches based on a selection of indicators (physical, environmental and management); Apply methodologies for the quantification, in monetary terms, of the economic benefits of beaches, specifically, the travel cost method (MCV); Verify how beaches with different valuations in terms of physical, environmental characteristics and degrees of performance also present different degrees of economic value.
