Domain consistency
- Name of measure
- Compliance with INSPIRE requirements (data)
- Evaluation method description
- The data of this dataset do not aim to achieve compliance with INSPIRE regulations. For this reason, its conformity is not evaluated and it is declared not conformant compliant by default.

Domain consistency
- Name of measure
- Compliance with INSPIRE requirements (metadata)
- Evaluation method description
- The compliance of the metadata is evaluated using the "INSPIRE Reference Validator" web tool. The metadata is considered correct when the only errors reported are related with the main language of the metadata file. These errors are due to the fact that Catalan is not included in the list of official languages of the European Union.

- Statement
- The data for this set of information were initially acquired on 22,000 km of flight lines and published in the Aeromagnetic Map of Catalonia in 1989. The distance between two measurement lines was fixed at one line for every centimeter of the planned map, resulting in one line every 2.5 km. The geological structures that can be resolved will therefore have a minimum lateral dimension of 5 km. A precision proton magnetometer from the Institute of Geophysics at the Polytechnic School of Zürich (Switzerland) was used in the aeromagnetic flight of Catalonia by the ICGC. This instrument measures the total field strength by measuring the precision frequency of the spin axis of a large number of ions in the vicinity of the direction of the Earth's magnetic field. One measurement was made per second, with an accuracy of 0.25 nT which, considering the characteristics of the flight, became a measurement every 60 m. The height of the flights was divided into two zones: a first region, in the southern part of Catalonia, with a moderate topography, where the flight was made at 2,500 m above sea level; and a second region, in the Pyrenees, where it took place at 3,700 m above sea level. The data obtained (more than 450,000) were interpolated in a regular grid of 250x250 m, from which a linear regional field was substracted in order to obtain the map of residual magnetic anomalies.
